Back in 2002, we knew that Yann Martel’s Life of Pi was an outstanding read. I guess we weren’t the only ones, because a year and a half ago, it was revealed that this award winning book was going to be adapted into a movie by Academy Award winner Ang Lee.
The Life of Pi movie has received rave reviews. Lou Lumenick from the New York Post states that it is one of “the best-looking film [she's] seen this year, and possibly so far this century.” Entertainment Weekly‘s Lisa Schwartzman echoes that by exclaiming, “Everything looks beautiful in Life of Pi.”

This is one of my all time favourite books. I read it in high school and absolutely loved it. It helped shape how I saw the world/religion/spirituality. Can’t wait to see the movie!

I have wanted to read this novel since high school! I went to chapters to buy a copy but all the ones on the shelf had moisture damage. This appears to be a very imaginative story with a young boy on a journey and what he discovers on the way, a kindof expedition where the boy becomes stronger each day.
